Bournville Rugby Football Club was formed in 1909 as the rugby section of the world famous Cadbury chocolate factory.

 

Avery Fields is now the home of Bournville RFC. Starting with minis and juniors from ages 6 – 18,  to three senior Men’s teams, a Women's team and a girls' tag team, Bournville Rugby Club is suitable for any age or ability.

UCB logo

UCB - University College Birmingham have agreed a major partnership between Avery Fields and Bournville RFC. 

 

The partnership will allow UCB sports students to use the state-of-the-art all-weather pitch and all the facilities on site at Avery Fields. Bournville RFC will link up with UCB students and the Rugby team at UCB and enhance their all round sports skills and education.

Community Group

Bournville Rugby Community Department created by Community Group, has been active since February 2019 and provides school coaching delivery as well as community projects for local priority groups.

 

Bournville Rugby Community has been successful in driving a range of projects with schools, funders and partners for the benefit of the club.

 

The Community Department has worked with the West Midlands Police, Sport Birmingham, Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby, 12 partner schools and also the Mini & Junior section to add value and opportunities within the local area.
